I put on my clothes once more and then moved back into the bedroom. There was not much else to do. I sat down on the bed. Then I laid down, just for a moment. But before I knew it, I had drifted off to sleep. I had been up for over forty-eight hours; I couldn't fight it any longer, especially after having a hot shower.

When I woke up, I had no idea how many hours had passed. But I felt refreshed; my hair was completely dry, and it seemed like I had been asleep for at least ten hours because I felt very rested. I felt guilty again for sleeping so well on the enemy ship and not staying alert. I looked around the room; the tray was still there. I couldn't tell if anyone had been in my room, but if the lieutenant had come in, he would have removed the tray. That was a good sign that I had been alone the whole time.

I got up from the bed and stretched. I did a few routine push-ups; making sure that I stayed in shape was part of our training. I drank water and waited.

One hour later, the door opened. Since I now knew that the lieutenant was the only one that could open the door, I was expecting him. He walked in carrying another tray. I was surprised by this. Why was he so insistent on making sure that I ate? As a prisoner, I assumed I would barely get one meal a day per twenty-four hours.

“I see that you are awake now,” he said.

My eyes grew wide. “How do you know that I slept? Are you watching me?” I looked around the ceiling for cameras.

“I came to check on you, but I didn't get beyond the door. I didn't want to wake you. I saw you sleeping and left. That is how I know,” he said walking to the table. He put down the tray of food next to the other empty tray. Then he looked at me.

  “Where is it?”

  “What?”

“The knife and fork. You obviously hit it somewhere to use it as a weak weapon. Give it back to me. Put it on this tray.”

  “No.”

“You can either give it to me now, or I will search your body myself for it.” He took a step toward me. I knew that he wasn't bluffing. He would rip the clothes off me if he had to.

I walked over to the mattress. I slowly pulled out the knife and fork and held them in my hands with my back to him. This was it. This was my chance; I had to take it. I didn't know when I would have a weapon in my hands ever again. I took a deep breath and then turned and ran toward him.

  “Augh!” I screamed.

In a flash, the knife and fork were pulled from my hands and hit the ceiling. There they stayed. I stopped. They were vibrating as they stuck to the ceiling. I looked at Lieutenant Draxel. He was pissed off.

“How many times do we have to go through this?” He took a step toward me and grabbed my arm, yanking me.

“As many times as it takes for me to get away from you, you pig.”

“That will never happen, so you might as well stop trying,” he said as he pulled me toward him. He was doing it in anger, or so I thought. My body crashed against his; my breasts were crushed against his six-pack abs. Then his mouth came down over mine, pressing against my lips.

His lips were strangely soft as they brushed against mine. I could feel his stubble beard on my skin. He slightly moaned. My mouth did something that I did not want it to do; it opened allowing his long tongue to play with mine. My palms were pressed against his hard chest. I meant to push him away, but instead, my hands were enjoying his strong body underneath them. No.

I pulled my mouth away from his and stepped back out of his grip.

“How dare you! Leave me alone!”

He smiled a confident, cocky smile. “Well, that was interesting.”

He walked to the empty tray and picked it up. He put the fork and knife from the tray that had food on it and it put it on the empty tray. Then the fork and knife from the ceiling fell onto the tray in his hands. He smiled again and walked out, locking the door. Now I was left with no weapons, no eating utensils, and an enormous amount of guilt. Why had I kissed him back? What had I done?

  Chapter Four

  Lieutenant Dyzon Draxel

I did not know what had grown inside of me. When I watch the human female come at me with a knife and fork, it was comical, but it was also arousing. This human female had fire and spirit inside of her. She was not weak; she was not scared. In fact, she seemed completely fearless. No one attacked me, not even soldiers of my own size because my reputation preceded me. But for some reason, this small, weak, fragile thing came at me over and over again.

I had never met anyone like her, especially not a female of any species. I found myself completely turned on by her fierceness. I had grabbed her arm, just to get her under control, but as soon as my hand touched her warm skin, the logic inside me changed. I wanted her. I wanted her at that moment. Before I knew it, I was kissing her. I had to. I had no other choice; my body was in control at that moment.

Pressing my lips against hers made my cock hard. I wanted more. She was giving me a hungry appetite. This small human female was creating this feeling inside of me.

But she surprised me when her mouth opened; her body went limp against mine. She was giving into the kiss. It was not what I was expecting, but it was welcomed. It was very interesting, until she pushed herself away from me.

It was no matter; I had other things to attend to since we were about to approach Liton. But this prisoner had suddenly become a very interesting prisoner. It would be more fun than I had originally thought.

“Lieutenant, Liton is in sight. Arrival in twenty minutes.”

“Good. Prepare the squad, fifty strong, all armed.”

  “Yes, Lieutenant.”

Thirty minutes later, I was standing in front of a Pasian leader. There were twenty or so villagers standing near him.

“You know what I have come for,” I said to this Pasian leader.

  “We do not have it.”

“I do not believe you. I can tell that you are lying. Do not make me use Ition strength on you,” I said.

“You cannot just take the copper sphere; it is a sacred object of the Pasian. You cannot have it.”

“I will take it. You can either hand it over, or I will take it by force.”

  “Lieutenant! The human female!”

I turned back to my ship, which was only a couple of yards behind me. I saw Gina running away from the ship in the thick stand. I groaned.

“Keep them at gunpoint! I am going after the girl,” I said to my squad.

I quickly moved into a sprint. I ran fast behind her, trailing her. I could hear her struggle in the sand. What was she thinking? She couldn't get away from me; no one could.

“Where do you think you're going?” I said as I caught up to her. She began to scream. I used Ition strength to create a hole in the sand directly in front of her. She fell straight into it. I stopped running, walking over to the edge of this sand hole. I looked down at her. She was on her belly breathing hard. She turned and looked up at me.

“Get away from me! You do not own me!”

Two soldiers of mine appeared beside me.

“Pick her up. Bring her to my side in front of the villagers. There is something that she needs to see.”

These soldiers moved down into the hole and picked her up. She screamed and kicked as they carried her out of the hole. I walked back to the village, with the Pasian still at gunpoint. Gina was in the arms of the soldiers and standing behind me. I could hear her breathing in her anger.

“Now, you have had time to think. Hand over the copper sphere or I shall force you to hand it over. You know that the Pasian are quite susceptible to Ition strength.”

  “No, you cannot have it.”

  “Kill the villagers,” I ordered.

“No! You monster!” Gina shouted behind me.

The squad lined up and begin to fire at the villagers. They scattered, far and wide. But I use Ition strength to pick up the leader. I moved him toward me directly in front of me.

“Do you see what you have done? This could have all been avoided if you would just hand it over.”

&n
bsp; “Never,” he said.

I put my hand on my head his head and used Ition strength, searching through images and memories. Finally, I saw the copper sphere. I saw where it was hidden. “You will bring the copper sphere to me.”

The Pasian leader responded, “Yes, I will bring it to you.”

I put him down on his feet. He began to walk toward a well. I followed him. He used the line and drew it up, cranking on a wheel. Finally, a bucket was appearing over the edge. There was a box inside. He grabbed the box and handed it to me. I opened it; the copper sphere was inside.

“Good. You have served your purpose.”

I walked back through the chaos to the soldiers that were holding Gina.

“Bring her on board. Follow me,” I said.

“You are a monster! How can you kill all those villagers? They have done nothing! They are just living their lives! You are a murderer!” she shouted at me, and she was carried into my ship and down the hallway, following me. I opened the door to my living quarters; she was still screaming at me. It did not matter what she said of course. I was only slightly listening to her. I had the copper sphere in my hands, and that was all that I could think about at the moment.

This was going to change everything for me. The Commander Reiq Jos had been after it for a long time. Now that I had it, I would be made a commander, and fill the void that Dorian left at the side of the Commander Reiq Jos. I would be equal with General Xun. I had been searching for it for two years, only to find out a month ago that the Pasian had it on Liton. It was easier to get than I expected, but the Pasian were a peaceful and religious group. They had no army.

“What do we do with the prisoner, Lieutenant?” The soldiers held her at the entrance of my living quarters.

“Bring her in here. Bring a bolt and chain.”

“Yes, Lieutenant.” They threw her in and disappeared.

“What is the matter with you? Do you have no heart? Are you just a cold killer? Why are the Ition like this? I do not understand. You just invade, conquer, and kill. How could you do it?”

“Because I can. The weak are meant to be conquered.”

“Ugh! No, they are not. They are meant to be left alone!” she screamed.

My two soldiers returned carrying the bolt and chain. I pointed to where I wanted it drilled in. They went to the wall by the bed and drilled a plate into the wall; attached to the plate was a long chain with a cuff.

  “What is that?” Gina said.

  “That is for you.”

My soldiers grabbed her and carried her over to it. She screamed. “No! Let me go!”

They put one cuff around one wrist while she screamed and punched at them. She still had that fire.

“That will be all. Call in the squad back into the ship. We are leaving.”

  “Yes, Lieutenant.”

They walked out. I looked at the small, crying human. Why did she feel so much anger over the fate of those villagers? She did not know them.

“You could have had a room all to yourself, but now you have forced me to chain you in my own living quarters to watch over you,” I said looking at her chained to the wall.

  “This is your living quarters?”

“Yes, it is. And you will be sharing my living quarters because you cannot be trusted to be left alone in a room. I don't know how you got out, but you are obviously clever. Therefore I have to chain you to this wall.”

“What if I have to use the washroom?”

“You will hold it until I return. I will let you go for a short time, but only for a short time. Get used to that chain; it is now a part of you.”

“I hate you! You are a monster!” she screamed as I walked away from her. I walked into the office area of my living quarters. I opened my safe and put the copper sphere inside. I walked back into the main area. The human was sitting on the floor.

“You brought this on yourself, human. Remember that. Every time you try to escape, your condition will be worse after you are caught. And you will be caught every time. It is a few days journey to Brokl. I suggest that you obey my orders. I suggest that you make this journey easy and painless. I will not tell you these things again.”

“You have no heart,” she whispered as tears moved down her cheeks.

“Those that have hearts get nowhere in life, other than an early death.” I walked over to her and hovered over her. She looked even smaller on the floor.

  “Now stay put!” I shouted.

She jumped a bit startled. Then I left my living quarters to see to the flight deck. The ship was in motion, leaving Liton. We were entering space once more. The mission to Liton had been a success as far as I was concerned. I had the copper sphere in my possession. I had shown the human female just how ruthless I was. She needed to see it so that she knew who she was messing with. It was true; I couldn't kill her because she belonged to the Commander Reiq Jos. But I needed to put some fear in her because she had been fearless. Judging by the way she jumped when I shouted at her, some of that fear had finally settled in. It was just the outcome that I had wanted. Now the bigger challenge would be having her in my living quarters for the next few days without touching her.

  Chapter Five

  Dr. Gina Gonzales

I was the captive of a real monster. The chain rattled as I stood up. I had just witnessed something absolutely horrifying. Lieutenant Draxel was everything that we had ever heard about the Ition. Absolutely ruthless for no reason at all except for being ruthless.

Now, I was chained in his personal living quarters. A part of me wished that I had not escaped and was still in my own room, able to move around. It was a mistake. But how could I have known that I would be caught unless I tried?

Now I was absolutely repulsed that I had kissed him. He had proven himself to be a very bad creature. He was as bad as they came. He only seemed to be more arrogant after his decision to take out the village.

I looked at the cuff around my wrist. It was solid metal. There wasn't even a lock to try to pick. I had been successful in breaking out of the room by using the food tray to break the door lock panel. It took a lot of strength, but once it broke, it malfunctioned and I was able to get free. I wouldn't be able to do any of that with this strong piece of metal around me. I had a very short range, not a lot of chain attached to me. I could sit and lie on the bed. I could walk in about a five-foot radius around the bed and that was it.

I sat on the bed looking around at the living quarters. They were very simple, stark and cold just like the last room that I was in, only this was much bigger. There were several rooms connected together. Including the room that he disappeared into to put the box in. This copper sphere that he had killed lots of Pasian villagers for. I wondered what it was? Was it just a massive gem worth a lot? Or was it something else? I didn't see Dyzon as being an Ition out for riches. They seemed to have access to all the resources and ships that he could possibly want. So why was this important?

I spent the next few hours walking back and forth in the small area that I had to myself. I sat down on the bed; I stood up. There was nothing for me to do but wait. It was driving me insane. I couldn’t stop thinking about those poor villagers; how could I get away from someone that was so ruthless? It seemed impossible now. I was starting to lose hope.

Finally, the door opened. Lieutenant Draxel walked in. He was carrying two trays. He walked over and set them down on a side table. Then he picked up a different table and brought it to me. He set it in front of the side of the bed. He grabbed one tray and put it on the table. I sat down on the bed. Then I was surprised to see him grab a chair and bring it with his tray to the opposite side of the table. He sat down across from me. Seriously? He was going to have a meal with me?

“You can't be serious? We are going to have dinner together like we are friends?”

“You have left me no other choice. Since you seem to use anything and everything as a weapon, you have to be watched.”

I sighed. “So now I am to be wa
tched when I eat?”

“If it were up to me, you would not eat at all. But the Commander Reiq Jos wants you in good health when you arrive. Now stop complaining and eat.”

I rolled my eyes and then begin to eat. It was a simple meal of an oatmeal type of grain with a sweet syrup in it. Standard spaceship food I thought. There weren’t a lot of fresh vegetables growing on a spaceship. I noticed that my utensil was a spoon. I guessed he didn't want to give me a fork and knife. It sort of made me smile. At least he was sort of weary of me.
