  Prologue

  Lieutenant Dyzon Draxel

“Lieutenant Draxel, you will be in charge of this. You have done me well. You have taken over all meetings and negotiations with the humans on planet Earth. You have been a great leader. You have taken the weight off my shoulders and allowed me to be home on our planet of Ionia,” Leader Evex Ein said.

“Well, Leader Evex Ein, you are needed here. You have the family as well,” I said.

“Yes, that is true. But I should be out there. I am the leader of the Alva after all. But you have done me very well. You have been on leave here on Ionia for five months now; it is time for you to return. I have just received a message from our fleet stationed outside the Earth moon. The humans are requesting a meeting at Menkara. You will be meeting with Councilor Vilox as always.”

“I am happy to do so; do you know what the meeting is going to cover?”

“They were not specific, but probably the same as always. They want us to move our fleet away from the Earth moon, if not it will be something else. But you know how the humans are, this cold war that we have with the humans make sure that the humans won't do anything. It is just negotiations, all the time. The strict rules: to not interact with humans except for the council, and their rules that humans cannot interact with us, the Ition; make sure that nothing ever happens. I am slightly grateful for this; it does allow me to stay here on Ionia for the time being. If and when things escalate, I would have to go oversee it.”

“I understand, Leader Evex Ein; you can count on me. I will start preparing for the mission back to Earth to meet with the council in the city of Menkara. Leave it to me.”

“I do. I always do. You’re my best lieutenant. You have always followed and been loyal. I never have to think twice about putting you in charge. That is all, for now, Lieutenant Draxel. See me again before your departure,” he said.

I saluted him and left to go prepare for a mission to Earth. I had been back and forth between Earth and Ionia for hey little over a year now. Leader Evex Ein used to be the one to make these missions, but he had done something that made him have to stay on Ionia for most of the time. Something forbidden.

The Itions and the humans were forbidden from interacting with each other, on both sides. He ignored those rules. He fell in love with a human female and took her from Earth. It was a long and complicated journey, but eventually, he made her his wife. They now had a family, and he lived on Ionia with her.

It was a very dangerous thing. If the Council on Earth found out about it they would kill him, so he spent as much time away from Earth as possible. Because of this, he left me in charge of the dealings with the humans. I was now in charge of overseeing our trade routes that went right by the Earth moon and to Earth itself. We had to protect those paths, and we had weapons hovering just outside the Earth-moon to stop any sort of piracy from other alien races from happening. This took a lot of great care; I was the one to take care of it and oversee it.

Now, I would be returning to Earth in order to have a meeting with the council; I had been stepping in for Leader Evex Ein for a year now; I had always been at his side during the Earth Council meetings. Now, I was the one in charge and making the decisions. It was a big responsibility, but I was happy to have it.

  Chapter One

  Dr. Gina Gonzales

“What do you think?” I said to my colleague.

“It is very interesting. They are almost exactly like the humans, except for the obvious differences,” he said.

“Yes, it is fascinating,” I said as I looked at the screen in front of me. We were studying the body of the Itions. I was a research doctor. I was very interested in the Itions.

“It is late; I'm going to call it a night,” he said as he turned off his screen and began to wrap up.

“Yes, that's true. I should go to.”

“If I stay another hour, my wife will be very angry with me,” he said as he began to put on his coat and leave.

  “Give her my best.”

He nodded to me and walked out. But the fact was I was jealous of him. I wasn't jealous because he was a better doctor than I was; I was better than him in that matter. I was jealous of him because he had someone to go home to. I did not. I was never good at relationships. I was too work-driven. Some said that I was a cold person. I had never thought of myself as cold, but I wasn't exactly warm either. But I found out the year before that I was cold. Perhaps I was even mean-spirited and not to be trusted. The year before I had done something: a big betrayal. I could not live it down. I wished that I had someone to go home to in order to take my mind off of it. I wanted someone to go home to drown my sorrows.

I left the council building where I worked as a doctor. I didn't work at the hospital; I worked specifically for the council. I walked across the plaza. It was already dark, but the city was still buzzing. I watched as couples held hands heading home from dinner or entertainment. I looked down at my feet, not wanting to see it anymore.

Minutes later I walked into my tower apartment. I threw my bag on the chair and took off my high heels. I poured myself a glass of wine and went to sit on the terrace. I looked at the sky; it was a beautiful night. I watched the ships coming and going into space. I wondered what it was like out there. I had never been, but a part of me wanted to experience it. But very few humans went into space; it was mostly pilots that worked in trade.

I went inside and heated up a meal in the convection box. It was a sad single meal in a cardboard tray, but I didn't like cooking. Cooking for one person reminded me that I didn't have anyone to cook for. This way I did not go through that feeling. I ate the meal standing up at the counter while I drank wine and looked through my binder of medical information, still working.

When I was done, I took a long hot bath, and then went to bed. This was my routine. The next morning I would go to work and do it all over again. I loved my work, but was this really a life?

  Chapter Two

  Lieutenant Dyzon Draxel

“Lieutenant Draxel, we just want to make sure that everyone is on the same page. We are very worried about this Commander Reiq Jos. some of the human see him as hostile,” Councilor Vilox said as I sat at the meeting of the Earth Council.

“Commander Reiq Jos is a strong commander of the Itions, but you do not need to worry about him. He is just not used to dealing with humans.”

“We can understand that. We will review what you have brought us. Until then, I assume that you will be at your larger ship outside of the Earth system?”

“Yes, I am returning there immediately. I am in communication range if you should nee
d me. Let me know when you have an answer,” I said.

“Good, we look forward to it.”

I stood up and moved to my vehicle. I sat down, and there was a flashing light.

Call Commander Reiq Jos immediately, the message said.

I set up my communication and called Commander Reiq Jos; he was in a distant solar system, but we had superior communications, not like the humans.

“This is Lieutenant Draxel calling for Commander Reiq Jos. He has requested me.”

  “One moment.”

I waited. A few moments later, Commander Reiq Jos was on the screen in front of me. It was true that he was a ruthless commander, but because of it, he was also very successful.

“Lieutenant Draxel, I have a mission for you.”

  “I am listening.”

“There is a human doctor on Earth, Dr. Gina Gonzalez. It has been said that she has been doing medical experiments on our kind.”

“What? How? The Earth Council would not allow such a thing,” I said.

“No, the Earth Council would not allow such a thing to be done out in the open. She works for the Earth Council as their doctor but in secret. I think they are looking for weaknesses in the Itions race, so that when the war comes...and it will come, they will know how to defeat us since we are twice their size and strength.”

“This is astonishing. Are you sure?”

“I am. Your mission is to abduct this doctor; do it quietly. Bring her to me on Brokl. That is all.”

  “I understand.”

I ended the communication. I could not believe that the humans were doing this, but we also had our own secrets as well. It was part of this cold war that we were in with Earth.

I put my vehicle into flight, launching it off of the building high in the air. I was going to make one more stop before flying out to space to meet up with my ship. As I flew, suddenly a red light began to flash. I lost control of the small ship, and something popped.

  “Shit!”

The ship began to spiral out of control. I was falling out of the sky. I was flipping switches and trying to get control of the steering, but it was no use. Suddenly I felt the hard impact of the ground. My head and arm hit the side of the panel; it knocked me out. When I came to, there was a woman standing over me: a beautiful human female.

“Just sit still; you are badly hurt,” I heard her say. That was all that I remembered.

I didn't know how long I was out, but when I woke up, I was in the infirmary: at the Earth Council I assumed. As Itions were not allowed to interact with humans, we were only allowed at the Earth Council building and a few other places. The Earth Council and a select few were allowed to interact with us, but no one else. This was a very strict rule. The penalty could be death.

“You are awake; that is good. You don't have any broken bones, but that was a very serious crash. I saw the whole thing,” I heard a soft voice say.

I looked over to see a small human female standing there with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was absolutely stunning.

  “Who are you?” I asked.

“My name is Dr. Gina Gonzalez. Don't worry, you are in good hands; I have treated your kind before.”

I couldn't believe it. This was her; this was the human female that I was supposed to take. She was right here in front of me. Not only that but she had just confirmed that she had treated my kind before. So it was true; she had been experimenting on Itions soldiers.

“Thank you for treating me; tell me my diagnosis.”

“You have a concussion, and that is all as far as I can tell. Your arm is very bruised, but it is not broken. You are very lucky. But then again, the Itions are very strong, aren't they?” she said, writing something down as she looked at the vital machines that were connected to me.

“We like to think that we are; what do you think?” I said.

She took a step toward me. She was hovering over me, looking at me. I suddenly felt my cock stir; a human female has never had this effect on me before. There was something about her. I was almost glad that I was going to abduct her, as it was what I wanted to do now. I wanted to know more about her.

“Yes, I think that you aliens are strong, and it is dangerous,” she said. Then she walked away.

That was it. She was dangerous, and I needed to get her to Commander Reiq Jos immediately.

  Chapter Three

  Dr. Gina Gonzales

I found myself abducted and on an Ition ship. The lieutenant said it was his. It was a very large ship, one made for long journeys, but I had noticed that it was very armed with several cannons and guns on the outside. When I was trying to get away, I still made a mental note of everything I saw. We went down a long hallway to the end of the ship, one that was nice, and therefore I knew that it wasn't a prison cell. I wasn't in the belly of the dungeon of the ship; I was in the living quarters, but why? Why not put me in a cell with bars like a common prisoner?

I was in a small room with one bed in the corner; it was very long and large obviously meant to accommodate the tall and long body of an Ition alien. There was a half table that pulled down like a shelf from the wall along with a chair. A sliding panel led to a small washroom. There was even a shower.

I looked around; I needed something to use for a weapon. Then I suddenly felt the ship jolt. I stumbled a little and held onto the wall.

  “Crap, we're taking off.”

This was not good. I knew that the Itions had abducted humans before. I had a friend named Aiken that I assumed had been abducted, and another named Imuna. I never heard from any of them ever again. But I knew deep down inside that they had been abducted by these monsters.

Four hours later, I felt like I was going to lose my mind. I walked back and forth from one wall to another, trying to figure out how to escape. There would be no use in trying to break out of my room because I didn't know how to fly a ship. So even if I made it to the cargo bay, I wouldn't know how to steal a ship in the first place. If I broke out and went into hiding until we landed, the lieutenant would know and search the ship for me. It was no use.

Suddenly the door panel went green, and the door opened. The lieutenant stood there with a tray in his hands. I was shocked. I quickly looked at it wondering if it was full of torture devices or food. I was relieved that it looked like food.

“You need to eat and drink. You are going to need your strength,” he said as he brought in the tray and set it down on the table.

“You are bringing me food? Why are you doing this? Is it not a little low for your rank? Should you not have one of your soldiers do it?” I asked confused by him bringing this to me personally.

“I am the only one that can open that door. I made it that way on purpose, and trust me, it is for the best. You are in a ship full of Ition soldiers who have not been with a female for a while. I couldn't expect them to be on their best behavior in such circumstances,” he said. I gasped understanding his meaning.

“Must everything be a threat with you?” I narrowed my eyes at him.

“Must everything be a fight with you? You thrive on argument; it is a waste of time. I am in charge; get used to it. You will do as you are told. Nothing is up for negotiation; understand that and you will be delivered to the planet Brokl unharmed,” he said taking a few steps toward me.

  “And if I don't?”

He didn't answer me; he just smiled. He took one more step and put his body very close to mine, just inches away. For some reason, my body was responding to his; was it fear? Or was it something else? My heart was racing. I was breathing harder, and I could see my breasts going up and down with every heavy breath. My mouth began to water as I looked up at him. His dark hair moved over his shoulders as he tilted his head down to look at me. His dark eyes looked at me as though looking right through me. His blue skin was beautiful. His uniform was fitted, and there was a sleeve of tattoos on his arm. He was very attractive, for a damn Ition. I didn't know what was happening, but I wanted it to stop. I knew that the stirring
inside of me wasn't fear, but arousal.

“Eat,” he said and then walked out locking the door behind him.

“What the hell was that, Gina? Get a hold of yourself, damn it,” I whispered to myself. I was feeling guilty. I knew I shouldn't have those types of responses to an Ition alien. They were evil; they wanted to destroy my home. I had to keep myself in check. But my body was not listening to my mind.

I walked over to the tray. I uncovered the plates. There was a nice meal, a lot of the food I recognized including bread. There was a large jug. I opened it; it was water. I drank a large drink, gulping it down. Then I sat and ate. It was then that I realized I was eating with a metal fork and a metal knife. “Weapons,” I whispered to myself.

I quickly finished eating and then cleaned off my new weapons. I put them underneath the mattress of the bed. Because the lieutenant had just come in to bring me food, I knew that I would be alone for some time now. So I took the opportunity to take a shower. It had been almost two days since I had any sort of fresh water on me. I moved to the washroom and closed the sliding door panel. I took off my clothes, noting that there was a large piece of cloth to dry off with. I stepped into the shower; I was surprised to find hot water. I took a quick hot shower, allowing the water to wash the stress from me
